The Ministry of Beit Emunah is an Evangelical, Trinitarian, and Pentecostal One New Man ministry.
Evangelical – adjective – Of, relating to, or being a Christian church believing in the sole authority and inerrancy of the Bible, in salvation only through regeneration, and in a spiritually transformed personal life. – The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition. Pentecostal – adjective – Of, relating to, or being any of various Christian religious congregations whose members seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit, in emulation of the Apostles at Pentecost. – The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition. Trinitarian – This means that we fully believe in, adhere to, and teach the doctrine of the Trinity. Our God (אלהינו – YHVH Elohenu) is one triune Godhead in three parts (Elohim), in unity (אחד – YHVH Echad), not three different gods. Just as a human is made up of three parts, yet there is only one being (the trinity of body, soul, and spirit), so is Elohim. אלוהים (Elohim) is a plural word with a singular meaning, referring to the השילוש הקדוש (Hashilush Hakadosh – Holy Trinity). The Hashilush Hakadosh consists of The Father (האב – HaAv), The Son (הבן – HaBen), the one known as Yeshua HaMashiach, and The Holy Spirit (רוח הקודש – Ruach HaKodesh), eternally co-existent and co-equal.
In addition to the above statements concerning the Trinity, we believe that the Athanasian Creed does a decent job explaining our view of the Trinity. However, we may not entirely agree with specific points. The Bible teaches that the only thing necessary for salvation is to repent and to have a heartfelt belief in the shed blood of Yeshua and confess the same with your mouth, thus becoming born-again (getting saved) by the indwelling of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). This is an inward transformation that some call a conversion experience. Baptism should follow this by immersion in water, preferably in living (moving, non-stagnant) water.
This ministry is currently an independent, unaffiliated ministry that adheres to, and teaches, the following:
For more details about the following statements, please review our detailed statement about what we believe.
BIBLE
- We believe that the Bible, composed of both the Tanakh (Jewish Scriptures) or First Testament and the Apostolic Writings of the Renewed Covenant (B’rit Hadashah) or Second Testament, is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Romans 15:4; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Ephesians 6:17
- We believe that the Torah of Adonai has not been abolished, and the observance of it is still the valid expression of a Godly faith…not as a means of salvation, but as the God-given path of sanctification. The Torah given to Moshe (Moses) is the same Torah Messiah Yeshua taught us to observe. We are taught to observe it and make disciples in the name of Yeshua, The Messiah, and to teach them to live Torah pursuant lives (Matt. 5:16-19).
- We believe that the Torah was meant for Yisra’el and all those of the nations who join its commonwealth (Ephesians 2) and take hold of its covenants (Zechariah 8:23). Any of those from the nations joining themselves to Yisra’el’s commonwealth will be welcomed with open arms and will be treated as an equal citizen with equal responsibilities and privileges (B’midbar/Numbers 15:15-16). We understand our faith walk as being Messiah centered and “Torah Pursuant”. As mentioned in our fourth pillar, it doesn’t matter if you are Jewish or from the nations, we do not believe that one must keep the Torah, or be observant of it, to be saved. On this note, we don’t believe it is obligatory. We understand that you cannot force holiness on anyone and that it must be a 100% choice on an individual’s part. So, although we lead by example in the best way possible, and we exhort our brothers and sisters unto a life of holiness, we don’t force it upon someone, and we exercise patience, love, and grace as we leave room and time for Adonai to work in a person’s life.
That said, we also believe that if one is to walk a life of holiness, as described by God’s standards, the Torah defines that walk. That is what we mean by “pursuing a Messianic Torah-centered life” or by being “Torah Pursuant”. We believe that the Torah describes the lifestyle of the redeemed, and thus, we hold it up as that description. We may all be on a different part of the path when it comes to walking with HaShem, but our goal is to exhort believers to walk in a manner that eventually will pattern itself after The Goal.
Furthermore, as seen in Romans 10:4, it is evident that The Goal is Yeshua HaMashiach (The Messiah). And we know what Yeshua’s life looked like. It was continually pursuant of His Father’s Torah. Because of this, we see that he was the perfect example of grace, mercy, loving-kindness, truth, and love, which we are to walk after. Thus, our heart and direction are to lift up Yeshua and call all of God’s people to learn to be better talmidim (disciples) of our Master and Rabbi.
GOD IS ECHAD
We believe that God is Echad, as declared in the Shema, “a united one” or “compound unity,” eternally existent in three persons. Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 48:16-17; 1 John 5:7-13
DEITY
We believe in the Deity of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) and that He is the “Seed of the Woman” as God promised and that His virgin birth was to be a sign to Israel of His Messiahship. Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 1:22-23
MESSIAH YESHUA’S LIFE
We believe in Messiah Yeshua’s life and his miracles yesterday and today. His vicarious and sacrificial death as our atonement, His bodily resurrection, His future return for His followers, both living and dead, and His future establishment of His kingdom on Earth. Isaiah 53:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Isaiah 9:6-7; 1 Corinthians 11:26; Zechariah 12:6-10; Zechariah 14:16-21
CLEANSED BY GRACE
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is by grace, through faith in the shed sacrificial blood of Yeshua HaMashiach, and that regeneration by the Spirit of God is essential for personal salvation. Leviticus 17:11; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 1:17; Habakkuk 2:4; John 3:3; Hebrews 11:6; Genesis 15:6
RUACH HAKODESH
We believe in the present ministry of Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) through whose indwelling the believer can live a godly life. Jeremiah 31:31-34; John 14:15-17; Galatians 5:13-25
SONS AND DAUGHTERS
We believe that the Jews, according to the flesh (descendants of Abraham through Isaac, whether through the bloodline of the mother or the father) who place their faith in Israel’s Messiah Yeshua, have not disowned or separated themselves from their race and Judaic heritage, but remain sons and daughters of Israel. Gentiles who place their faith in Israel’s Messiah, Yeshua, are also spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham. Galatians 3:28-29; Romans 2:28-29; Genesis 15:6
RESURRECTION
We believe in the resurrection of both saved and lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to eternal separation from God, the latter being consigned to a state of everlasting punishment. Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; Psalm 69:28; Revelation 20:12-15
MIDDLE WALL OF PARTITION
We believe that the middle wall of partition, which in times past separated Jews and Gentiles, has been broken down, the enmity between them eradicated by the Messiah Yeshua. Ephesians 2:12-24; Acts 10:34
RENEWED COVENANT BODY
We believe that the Renewed Covenant body of the Lord is composed of Jews and Gentiles who have accepted Yeshua HaMashiach as the promised Redeemer and that now they are to worship TOGETHER in the House of God. John 17:21; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Hebrews 10:25; Psalm 133:1
JEWISH FOLLOWERS OF YESHUA
We believe that Jewish followers of Yeshua are called to maintain their Jewish biblical heritage and remain part of their people and the universal body of believers. This is part of their identity and a witness to the faithfulness of God. Romans 3:1-4; 1 Corinthians 7:17-20; Acts 21:20-24
ADDITIONAL BELIEFS
Beyond those fundamental/core beliefs listed above, we also adhere to a set of beliefs outlined in the statements below that are not addressed elsewhere but that we feel are scripturally correct and are not in conflict with, but rather enhance, the purposes and objectives of those Tenets of faith.
- We believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is murder and grieves the Lord very much.
- We believe cloning is against the natural order of YHVH’s creation. A clone has no soul because only YHVH can place a soul in a body with His breath of life.
- We believe that Elohim is the Creator of all and that the Theory of Evolution is a lie of Satan to keep people in the dark and allow them to question YHVH’s omnipotence and existence, thereby avoiding a necessary change of lifestyle.
Homosexuality
While we are sensitive to the suffering of those involved in the following lifestyles, hope and deliverance are available. These statements are based on clear Biblical teachings:
- We believe that Homosexuality (both male and female, “Gay” and “Lesbian”) is a grave sin to YHVH, as stated in the scriptures, and it is impossible to rationalize any cause of homosexuality other than human choice. People cannot physically be “born gay” by genetics, disease, or otherwise. There is no “Gay Gene” and there never was nor ever will be. This is a lie from Hell and the corrupt media. Both Generational Curses and environment can influence the homosexual lifestyle choice, but YHVH never created (and would never) create a human that would be born out of the natural order that He invented. He would not cause anyone to be born with a desire to leave the “natural use” of a man or woman (heterosexual relationships, one man to one woman and one woman to one man). Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:21-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
- We believe that transvestites (cross-dressers) and transsexuals (those who have had a sex change operation), both of which have been recently referred to as transgender (it means the same thing, no matter how you label it), are out of the natural order and are as much a sin to YHVH as homosexuality.
- We believe that same-sex marriages are a sin and against God’s design, and as such, we will not officiate or consecrate such a union. YHVH designed marriage to be between one man and one woman for life. See above on Homosexuality.
- We believe that practicing Homosexuals are not qualified for ministry and should not be ordained into ministry until true and complete repentance takes place with verifiable evidence of the same (accompanied by a noticeable change in lifestyle), as it sets a standard that is unbiblical and is permissive of a sin that YHVH forbids. See above on Homosexuality.
Please understand that we love the Homosexual as YHVH loves the Homosexual. However, we must stand against that which YHVH is clearly against as dictated in His Word, the Bible. We will gladly help you through the process of leaving the Homosexual lifestyle or help you find someone who can.
